    Dear All,

I am sure all of you are well aware of plight of children in India. With one-fifth of the world’s children, India is home to the largest child population (about 440 m) in the world. Unfortunately, the prevalence of abuse, neglect and exploitation faced by millions of Indian children today are numerous. This includes child labor, discrimination on basis of caste, trafficking, infanticide to name a few.

    Vital Statistics:

    · India is home to the largest child labor force

    · 53.2% children reported having faced one or more forms of sexual abuse

    · 65% of school going children reported facing corporal punishment

Please support me for a worthy cause so that all children will have equal opportunities to learn, grow and play by either participating in the walk held on Oct 10th 2009 at Huntington beach or by donating whatever bit you can ( 18 $ can pay for education of a child for one whole year and 27 $ to enable education and health care for a year for a child. Just for the price of few lunches, you can change someone's entire life.

What: 5k for adults, 3k walk for kids
    Where: Huntington Beach, CA
    When: Saturday, Oct 10, 2009; 11 A.M.
